One In Eight
One In Eight As Knowledge, Not A Statistic
The statistic says a woman has about a 1 in 8 chance of being diagnosed with breast cancer at some time during her life (Tweet: A woman has about a 1 in 8 chance of being diagnosed with breast cancer at some time during her life. via @Circuelle). That statistic can be scary! I stand there looking at 8 women beside me during my son’s soccer game. I know these 8 women. 1 out of 8 of us have a chance of being diagnosed with breast cancer.
Well, I’m a “glass is half full” girl! So let’s look at this another way. Statistics wise, the chance that I will never have breast cancer is 87.6 percent or about seven in eight. I choose to look at this information as knowledge. And with knowledge I can do something about it.
Here is what I can do. I can get yearly mammograms and I can get yearly clinical examinations by my physician. But just like I don’t leave everything up to my accountant or any other professional who helps me, I can take steps myself. Empower myself! I can do bi-monthly breast self examinations. If I do feel something, it will be detected early.
I choose to do something. Circuelle™ Breast Ritual Crème™ supports me with that. I love that it is infused with good things too. Evening primrose oil, green tea extract, vitamins D and E.
What will you do with this knowledge?
